Ayrton Group are seeking an Environmental Health Safety Specialist to join our client, a large utilities organisation, on an ongoing project. This role will be based out of the client’s Limerick office and lab, but will require weekly travel to other locations for site/lab visits and meetings.
This is a 12 month contract role with the potential for further extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing ongoing Health and Safety support.
- Managing day to day labs.
- Approval of Risk Assessments / Operational Procedures.
- Ensuring Risk Assessment / Operational Procedures are in line with Safety Management System.
- Visiting various labs and sites as required, weekly.
- Documentation Management, including version control, change management and controlled distribution.
- Provide reports on output and with relevant information for reporting up the line.
- Provide support in the delivery of other related Health and Safety projects.
- Set high standards, by encouraging others to embed a HSQE culture.
- Perform other duties as required from time to time.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar position.
- Previous experience on Utilities projects is preferred.
- Varied experience in other sectors such as Construction would be beneficial.
- Previous experience in report writing and collation of information for KPI’s, safety metrics, presentations etc.
- Strong ability to prioritise tasks, work with schedules, and manage resources while remaining focused on main goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
- Full driver’s license and vehicle.
